Two of my grandkids from California visited us for three weeks this summer.We played a lot of RockBand (tm), on the Xbox-360.We got to be pretty good in the online competition. Out of 99,000 ranked bands, we placed in the top 100 on the Leaderboard with several songs. Two of the songs we played actually made it into the Top 20.Since we are mostly from the Spud State, we call our band "Spudders".

This bridge is on the Old Donner Pass Highway. It has spectacular Sierra views and views of Donner Lake and Donner Pass on Route 80. A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit,Truckee) when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. I'm a little late posting this. The picture was in my cellphone.This year all the concerts were free at the Western Idaho Fair.That included REO Speedwagon, Josh Turner and Charlie Daniels.It's a nice venue, sitting in the bleachers at the Racetrack, looking at the sunset hitting the hills overlooking Boise.
