Styx Acoustics.

Worked the Styx concert last night. Running a spotlight in an arena might be a good place to see concerts but it's just about the worst place to hear one. Imagine yourself in a concrete parking garage and the band is playing in another concrete parking garage... across the street.
That's the sound quality I had. I'm sure the people in the audience had a more enjoyable audio experience.
I still enjoyed the concert though.

Styx Concert Tonight

Looking forward to seeing the lads perform tonight.

Styx Set List.

I'm working the REO Speedwagon / Styx concert tonight.

I'm really looking forward to it, Styx more than REO, to be honest. I saw them at the state fair last year and they kicked a**.

This is the set list, taped to Peter's (the monitor mixer) sound console.
Hope to get some good photos tonight.

I Hate Barbed Wire.

Diamond, one of the 6 month old colts, got tangled up in some barbed wire down at the neighbor's pasture.
We decided to bring our colt, Rain, back home rather than risk it happening to her.

More reasons to hate Barbed Wire in my May Archives, scroll down.

Meet the Real Rain Man

"Kim Peek was the inspiration for screen writer Barry Morrow's 1988 Oscar-winning movie Rain Man.

He's memorized 9000 books, can predict weather and has been likened to Mozart..."

Amazing Illusion.

Stare at the cross in the center...

Pretty soon the violet dots will disappear.

Since I've already taken one of their excellent courses, I jumped at the chance to get a free one.
